Professor Lucas Lepri teaches a variation on a turtle position escape. Lucas is in the turtle position and the opponent is able to get the seat belt grips. Lucas controls the arm that is over the shoulder and pulls on it. He starts to roll over his own shoulder to make the opponent roll, as if he is giving him the back. In the transition of the roll, Lucas slides his inside leg over the opponent, landing in an upside down side control. Lucas now bridges and turns into the opponent. From this position, he can go to the mount position or stay in side control.
