Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to counter a guard pull using a jump pass. Lucas and the opponent both start standing. The opponent moves in and attempts to guard pull on Lucas. Lucas immediately counters it by placing his inside hand on the opponent’s chest and his other hand grips the same side leg. He uses the hand on the chest to help him jump up. As he jumps, Lucas pushes the leg to the side and gets on the side of the opponent. The opponent reacts by turning away. Lucas keeps his knee on the opponent's side as he turns. As soon as the opponent raises his legs, Lucas takes the opportunity to get his hooks in to take the back.
