Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to counter a single by sprawling and getting a collar choke. The opponent shoots for a single leg and Lucas immediately sprawls, staying on his knee. He slides his inside hand under the opponent’s head to grip the far side collar and then brings his outside hand to grip the other collar. There are two scenarios that can occur. The opponent can finish the single leg by pushing Lucas back, or the opponent traps Lucas’ arm and rolls forward. Both these scenarios end up with Lucas in the same position, where the opponent is on their back while Lucas is controlling the collars. Once the opponent releases Lucas’ leg, Lucas bridges turns the opponent to the side and immediately steps over to get the back control.
