Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to take the opponent down after defending a tie up and get the body lock. Lucas and the opponent are standing and get in the tie up positions. Lucas pushes the elbow up as he ducks under the arm and controls the opponent by the shoulder and leg. He then switches to controlling the waist from behind. Lucas now takes the opponent down by switching his leg base and blocking the far side leg as he pulls the opponent back. In this scenario, as soon as the opponent is taken down, Lucas grips the opponents back isolating one of the arms. He pulls the opponent back and then slides his hook in. He now pulls the opponent to the other side and locks his legs in a figure four for the body lock. If he is not able to lock his legs together, then Lucas places his top foot over the hip to control the opponent.
