Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get a straight ankle lock from the top, when the opponent has the lasso and spider guard. Lucas first works on removing the opponent’s spider side grips. He does this by circling the arm around the inside of the leg. He then immediately starts pushing the leg down. Lucas starts to lean forward so he can grab his own collar on the de la riva side. The outside leg is now brought in and across the opponent to the other side. From here, Lucas now drops his hips down and finishes the straight ankle lock from the top.
