De La Riva to Omoplata Attempt to X Guard Sweep (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to sweep the opponent after attempting an omoplata but the opponent defends. Luca starts witht the de la riva and isolates the opponent’s arm that is on the de la riva side. He then spins under and under hooks the same side leg. This sets Lucas up for an omoplata entry. Lucas attempts to go for the omoplata, but the opponent defends by posturing up. Lucas now transitions to the x guard where he sweeps the opponent back.
