Description

Professor Lucas Lepri goes into detail on opening the closed guard and using the knee cut to pass to side control. Lucas starts in the opponent’s closed guard, with one hand on the collar and the other controlling the hip. This prevents the opponent from breaking Lucas’s posture and attacking. Lucas now raises his foot, placing it next to the opponent’s waist. In one motion, he turns the knee in and the other knee out posting with his foot. This opens the opponent’s guard. Lucas then places his leg over the opponent’s briefly, until he is able to cut his other knee thru. Lucas now passes to the side control position.
