Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates a technique for defending a single-leg takedown and swiftly countering with a judo throw of his own. He starts by defending the single-leg attempt, hopping to switch his grip to the opponent's opposite side collar. Lucas then uses his forearm to control the opponent's head and plants his foot firmly on the floor to prevent being taken down. He creates an advantageous angle by pulling the opponent towards his shoulder and uses his hips to smoothly throw the opponent over. In this throw, Lucas can drop both knees , or one knee to the floor.
