Description

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates a reverse armbar attack from the closed guard. The technique begins by isolating one of the opponent's arms. A hand is used to frame, or can grab inside the opponent's other arm. The goal is to make the opponent base their isolated hand on the floor. Once the arm is isolated and the opponent is basing, Lucas moves his hips away and shrimps out to the side. The left foot is placed on the opponent's hip, and the knee frames the opponent's body. The thigh is positioned on the opponent's elbow, with the knee framing, allowing the other leg to come over and secure the arm. This setup creates strong control over the opponent's posture and balance, making the arm attack effective.
