When the opponent turns their hips away, Ezekiel counters by folding their body, falling to the opposite side, and inserting his knee between their legs to control their lower body position. Ezekiel then secures a crucial over back grip with his forearm cupping the opponent's neck. This grip is essential in No Gi as it creates forward pressure, preventing the opponent from pushing away and allowing Ezekiel to execute a powerful long step pass and finish in a dominant top position like side control or North South.
