Professor Lucas Lepri goes into a detailed escape of side control with half guard and secures a submission or dominant top position. The technique starts with Lucas escaping from the bottom of side control and transitioning to a complex Reverse De La Riva or One Leg X Guard situation. When the opponent successfully blocks the initial sweep and stands up, Lucas uses their movement to set up a pass. He immediately adjusts his grips, grabs the opponent's ankle, and uses a pendulum motion to lift their weight and create a strong position, ensuring he transfers the opponent's weight to one side.
