Professor Lucas Lepri teaches a back control escape, followed by passing the guard with a knee cut. Lucas starts the back control escape by leaning to the side where the opponent's arm is over the shoulder. He uses a combination of his legs and arm in a tripod position. This elevated position allows Lucas to slowly turn into the opponent, escaping his head from the hold. Lucas then brings his knees together to prevent the opponent from progressing. Lucas then uses shoulder pressure to release the opponent's hooks from the legs. He then passes using a knee cut.
