Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to pass the open guard by under hooking the leg. The opponent has the open guard and Lucas is standing. Lucas grips one pants and starts to move in. He places his knee on the opponent's leg that he initially gripped. His other hand is used to under hook the other leg and immediately grips the opposite side collar. In this variation, the opponent defends by blocking Lucas placing the knee on Lucas’ chest. Lucas releases the grip on the collar, steps slightly back and grips the pants on the leg that the opponent is blocking with. He pulls the leg off and then immediately moves back in and controls the opponent’s hips. The opponent attempts to roll away and Lucas controls the collar in the front with one hand and the collar by the back with his other hand. When the timing is right, Lucas puts his hooks in and takes the back control.
