Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates how to apply an Ezekiel choke when an opponent is successfully escaping back control. As the opponent slides their hips out, Lucas transitions his hands toward the neck, keeping his head tightly connected to the opponent's to prevent them from turning into him. He secures the choke by gripping four fingers inside his own opposite sleeve and placing the blade of his wrist against the opponent's throat. If the opponent’s back remains flat on the mat and they refuse to turn, Lucas drops his hips, pins the opponent's legs with his knee, and opens his elbow to maximize the squeeze. If the opponent turns to avoid the pressure, he uses that momentum to drag them back to the opposite side, re-establishing dominant back control and finishing the choke by pulling the opponent tight to his chest.
