Closed Guard Passing with Lapel Trapped Over Under and Pressure Pass (Advanced)

Description

Professor Lucas details how to open closed guard and pass using lapel control, offering two systematic options based on the opponent's defense. In the first variation, Lucas un-tucks the opponent's lapel, wraps it over their sleeve to trap their arm, and tripods up to drive his arm under their lower back before slicing the knee across to pass. In the second variation, used if the opponent defends the arm trap, Lucas feeds the lapel deep across their chest, drives heavy shoulder pressure into their torso from a tripod stance, and slides his knee tight against their ribs while using a trailing foot hook on their Achilles to prevent them from getting back to the closed guard.
