Straight Ankle Lock Escape Continuation to Mount (Advanced)

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates a follow up to an ankle lock escape, transitioning into a dominant mount position. After escaping the ankle lock by using hip movement to clear the opponent's foot, Lucas secures a collar grip and maintains a heavy, stiff base with his knee pointing down. This strong posture prevents the opponent from off balancing him. From this position, he passes his knee over his own leg and brings the other knee around to secure the mount. Once in mount, he shows how to use the position to set up and finish submissions like the cross collar choke and the armbar.
