Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to take the opponent’s back from the butterfly guard, when the opponent defends an arm drag. Lucas is playing the butterfly guard and tries to do an arm drag. He grabs the opponent’s wrist with his same side hand and the elbow with his opposite side hand. Lucas tries to drag the arm, but the opponent defends by placing his hand on Lucas’ shoulder. Lucas then releases the grip on the wrist and grips the opponent’s neck. He then releases the grip on the elbow and uses that hand to push the opponent’s arm across trapping it as he grips both of his hands behind the opponent’s neck. Lucas then slides his hips forward and uses both of his hooks on the opponent’s legs to lift him up and turn his body as he falls, allowing him to secure the back take position.
