Armbar Escape Variation to Side Control (Fundamentals)

April 07, 2019 on 12:36 245 1

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates how to escape from the armbar by locking his arm together and transitioning to the side control. The opponent has Lucas’ arm and Lucas immediately grips his hands together to pull his own arm in. He then locks one hand with his bicep and the other under the opponent’s leg. He swings his leg to the side and uses the momentum to come up. The knee is now used to block the back of the opponent. From here, Lucas works on releasing his arm and then drags the leg to the side so he can go to the side control position.
