Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to take the opponent’s back when they are in the turtle position. The opponent is in the turtle position and Lucas is on the side. Lucas moves back and places his chest on the opponent's lower back while keeping his knees bent. He reaches over the back and goes for the cross collar control with one hand. Lucas now drops the knee to the mat on the same side as the collar grip and uses his free hand to post on the mat. This post and grip allow Lucas to pull the opponent to the side, allowing him to make the opponent fall. If the opponent stays there, Lucas stays in the side control position. If the opponent attempts to roll away, then Lucas takes the opponent’s back control.
