Description

Professor Frederico Silva teaches how to prevent the opponent from attacking when they have the grips established. He also teaches how to break the grips and go to the fireman’s carry takedown. Both the opponen and Frederico are standing and the opponent establishes the Judo grips. Frederico has a hard time breaking the grips. He reaches under the arm and grips the opponent’s collar to prevent him from attacking. He uses that arm to push the opponent away and to maintain the distance. He circles his outside hand around the opponent’s to break the sleeve grip. Once that hand is free, he uses it to break the other grip on the collar. Frederico then pulls on the collar as he goes to his knees while he under hooks the opponent’s legs. From here, Frederico pulls the arm over his shoulder as he lifts the opponent to the side for the fireman’s carry takedown.
