Professor Donovan Espinosa shows how to sweep the opponent using the butterfly guard. Donovan starts in the butterfly guard and under hooks the opponent to grip the belt and the material. The other hand is used to grip the opponent’s arm so Donovan can pinch it against his side to prevent the opponent from posting on the mat. Donovan now starts to fall to the shoulder he is gripping the arm and uses his opposite side hook on the leg to raise the opponent. Donovan keeps turning to sweep the opponent landing on the mount position.
