Professor Lucas Lepri goes into detail on how to take the back, starting from the closed guard. Lucas explains how to isolate the arm and how to push it across the opponent to prevent them from moving. Lucas controls the arm by the wrist and above the elbow. These grips allow him to push the arm across so the opponent won't be able to defend. Lucas now slightly opens his guard so he can adjust and start going to the side. Little by little, Lucas starts turning until he is able to take the back. Once he takes the back, he finishes with the collar choke.
