Professor Lucas Lepri attempts an omoplata from the closed guard, but the opponent defends and he goes for the leg drag instead. Lucas controls the opposite sleeve and under hooks the same side leg to go for the omoplata. The opponent defends by turning the elbow out. Lucas immediately grips his hands together while still controlling the leg. He then brings his other leg over the opponent’s and grips the back of the pants. The opponent tries to stand up and Lucas hips escapes and hooks the leg to force the opponent back. In this scenario, the opponent starts to put his back on the mat to try and escape. Lucas gives up on taking the back and immediately goes for the leg drag.
