Closed Guard to Pendulum Sweep Attempt to Back Take (Intermediate)

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to take the opponent’s back from the closed guard, after attempting a pendulum sweep. Lucas starts in the closed guard controlling the opponent’s sleeve and opposite side pants. He pushes the opponent away and when the opponent reacts, Lucas comes back and lifts the pants as he pulls on the sleeve. He attempts to sweep but the opponent posts out and defends staying in the turtle position. Lucas immediately closes the gap and from this position starts working on taking the opponent’s back.
