Closed Guard to Spider Guard Sweep Attempt to Omoplata (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri shows a spider guard sweep attempt to the omoplata submission when the opponent defends the sweep. Lucas has the closed guard on the opponent and then transitions to the spider guard. From the spider guard, he slides his hips to one side so he can push the opponent’s leg as he pulls the sleeve to break the grip. He then pendulums his leg to that same side side as he raises the other leg in a attempt to sweep the opponent. The opponent defends by using his knee to stop Lucas. Lucas takes his opportunity to immediately take the opponent to the other side and get the omoplata submission.
