Description

Professor Donovan Espinosa teaches how to get the cross collar choke from the closed guard. Donovan has the opponent in his closed guard and breaks the opponent’s grips on the lapel by circling his arms underneath the opponent’s and makes him post the hands on the mat. In this scenario, Donovan grips the opponent’s opposite side collar and pushes it up to create space. He then places his same side hand behind the opponent’s head. Donovan now slides that arm around the head to the front, to finish the cross collar choke.
