Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to get the armbar submission from the mount while using the cross collar grip to achieve it. Lucas has the opponent in the mount position and grips the opposite side collar. He then lowers his elbow to the opposite side of the collar grip. This makes the opponent lift his opposite side elbow so Lucas can bring his knee forward and places the elbow on his leg. Lucas uses his other foot to press his heel against the opponent’s hip. Once in this position, Lucas then brings the foot that was against the hip over the opponent’s arm and places his heel next to the opponent’s neck. The arm that was gripping the collar is now released and traps the opponent’s arm. Lucas then brings his knee up and leans back next to the opponent and gets the armbar submission.
