Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches a variation of a guard pass that involves hugging the leg by falling to the mat. The opponent has the De La Riva guard and Lucas immediately pushes both legs down. As the opponent reacts by lifting his top leg, Lucas dives under the leg and uses his arm over the thigh and grips the pants. In this scenario, Lucas starts to come up but the opponent reacts by pushing away with his leg. This prevents Lucas from reaching for the cross collar. Lucas instead pulls the opponent up and now grips the collar behind the neck. As the opponent comes back down, Lucas slides his knee in and falls back. From here, Lucas pulls the opponent and uses his legs to help him take his back.
