Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to take the opponent’s back using the de la riva with the lape control. Lucas has the De La Riva and begins to pull out the opponent's lapel so he can then grip the end and feed it to his other hand. He then grips the opponent's collar and uses his legs to push the opponent one way and when he reacts, Lucas pushes him to the other side. In this scenario, the opponent defends by pushing Lucas’ leg down. Lucas tries to go for the X guard so he can then push the opponent away but the opponent defends once again. Lucas instead pushes the opponent over his head the uses his shin to push the opponent away. He then reaches for the back of the pants so he can come out and use both his legs to push under the opponent’s legs to take the back. From here, Lucas can finish the submission after putting his hooks in, or he can even finish the submission from the back without getting his hooks in.
