De La Riva with Lasso Control to Sweep (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to sweep the opponent starting with the de la riva. Lucas has the de la riva and pulls out the opponent’s lapel. He feeds the lapel under the opponent’s leg on the de la riva side and grips it with his same side hand. The other hand controls the same side collar. The opponent attempts to use a knee cut to pass, but is not able due to the lapel control. Lucas re-positions and switches the grip on the lapel to his other hand. This allows him to use that hand to post on the mat, as he uses his foot to sweep the opponent’s leg back.
