Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates a far side omoplata from De La Riva guard. Lucas begins in De La Riva guard with grips on both sleeves, and when the opponent initiates a pass, Lucas grips the lapel and puts the foot from the De La Riva hook on the opponent's shoulder. He pushes on the shoulder, breaks the opponent's grip, and elevates his hips to attack the arm with the omoplata. If the opponent puts his knee on Lucas' chest to defend, Lucas swims his arm inside to establish a grip over the opponent's back. He then rocks to sit up and secure a grip on the opponent's lapel, and finally leans forward to apply the omoplata submission.
