Lasso and Spider Guard Pass to Side Control Variation (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates a lasso with spider guard pass variation to the side control. Lucas first works on removing the opponent’s spider guard by stepping to the side and circling his hand under and over the opponent’s leg. He then uses his hand to grip the opponent's leg. The other hand is then brought in by bending the elbow back and then he circles it around the opponent's leg to remove the lasso. Lucas now places his knee over the opponent’s leg to break the grip. As soon as the opponent breaks the grip, Lucas steps back and clubs the opponent’s back. He then keeps his hips close and establishes the side control.
