Professor Lucas Lepri shows an escape from the north south, when the opponent transitions from the side control. Lucas is in the opponent’s side control and starts to escape by framing and using his knee. The opponent realizes he might lose the side control position, so he starts transitioning to the north south. As the opponent transitions, Lucas makes sure to keep his arms in, placing his hands under the armpits. Lucas now pushes the opponent up and inverts his legs, placing them on the opponent. He now creates space and spins around to get the closed guard.
