Description

Professor Frederico Silva teaches how to get the armbar submission, after attempting to get the paper cut choke. Frederico is in the side control and places his arm over the head to isolate and control the arm. He uses his other hand to block the hip and starts to transition to the north south position. The same hand that was blocking the hip is now used to reach under the opponent’s head to grip the back of the collar. Frederico now moves back to the side control position. In this scenario, the opponent defends with his arm and does not let Frederico control the collar. Frederico releases the grip on the back of the collar and slides it down the arm to control the elbow. He comes up to the knee on belly and brings his other leg over the opponent’s head. From here, he sits back and gets the armbar submission.
