Side Control Escape Variation When Opponent Tries to Trap the Arm (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri show how to escape from the side control position when the opponent controls the hip and tries to control the arm. Lucas bridges so he can slide his inside arm under the opponent’s arm to block him. In this scenario, the opponent brings his arm over to try and control Lucas’ arm. As soon as the opponent moves his arm over, Lucas pushes under the arm and moves the opponent away. Lucas can now recompose the guard.
