Spider Guard Escape when Opponent Defends to Paper Cut Choke (Intermediate)

Professor Lucas Lepri shows a spider guard escape to the paper cut choke when the opponent defends. The opponent has the spider guard on Lucas and Lucas tries to escape by gripping the inside of the legs and tries to push them down. The opponent defends and Lucas instead grips the sides of the legs and pushes them forward. He places one knee behind the opponent’s back and the other over the arm. The grips on the pants are switched to a cross collar grip and the other grip to the the opponent’s wrist. Lucas then drops his knee making the opponent’s back fall to the mat. He then goes to the side control and gets the paper cut submission.
