Spider Guard to De La Riva to Sit Up Guard to Lapel Control Sweep to Mount or Back Take (Advanced)

Special guest Dante Cano teaches how to sweep the opponent using the lapel control. Dante is playing the spider guard and transitions to the de la riva. He pushes Lucas away with his foot on the hip. This now allows Dante to be in the sit up guard. Dante reaches for the lapel and feeds it to his hand under Lucas’ leg. He now places his elbow on the mat and hip escape so he can transition to the shin to shin. From this position, Dante now falls to the side so he can release the grip on the collar and slides his hand under Lucas’ leg to grip the lapel. He uses his other hand to control the sleeve. The knee is now brought over Lucas’ and Dante turns to the side to sweep. Depending on the opponent’s reaction, Dante can go to the mount position, or take the back control.
