Worm Guard Defense Pass to Side Control (Advanced)

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to prevent an opponent from going to the worm guard. The opponent grabs Lucas’ lapel and starts trying to transition to the worm guard. Before the opponent has a chance to feed the lapel, Lucas immediately blocks the opponent by gripping the same side lapel and same side knee or ankle. Lucas then pushes the knee or ankle away and goes to the side control. If the opponent is able to lift the leg, then Lucas pushes it in the opposite direction and pulls on the collar to go to the side control. A third scenario is when the opponent is able to feed the lapel to his other hand. In this scenario, Lucas immediately pushes the leg down, steps back and then once again passes to the side.
