Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to sweep the opponent from the knee shield. Lucas starts in the knee shield controlling the collar and sleeve. He hip escapes out and maintains his knee up high on the torso. The hip escape allows him to pull his bottom leg out and place it over the opponent’s knee. Lucas now places his top leg on the opponent’s side. In one whole motion, Lucas kicks the knee out and pushes the opponent with his other leg in a scissor motion. This sweeps the opponent over and Lucas immediately comes on top for the mount control. The opponent attempts to arch to escape, but Lucas immediately controls the back of the head and posts on the mat with his other hand to keep the mount control position.
