Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to transition to the mount position after the opponent starts to escape from the back control. Lucas starts by controlling the opponent’s back with the seat belt grip and both hooks in. The opponent starts to escape by sliding his hips out to the side, removing one of Lucas’ hooks. Lucas immediately crosses his feet together on the side to slow the opponent down. He also grips and pulls in the far side arm. This prevents the opponent from pushing Lucas’ leg down. From here, Lucas now opens his legs and uses his elbow to post on the mat. This allows him to come up to the mount position. Once on the mount, Lucas explains how to keep the mount when the opponent tries to push Lucas off.
