Lucas starts in the side control position and the opponent is framing with one arm near the waist and the other near the neck. Since the opponent has the arm blocking the waist, Lucas works on isolating the arm by pushing the opponent’s legs away and shifting his hips. Once the arm is isolated, Lucas places his forehead on the mat and shifts all his weight to his head and arm. This allows Lucas to then slide his first knee over. Lucas then adjusts and gets the mount control. From this position, Lucas now starts to isolate the opponent’s arm and pushes it across. He then connects his arms together to finish with the arm triangle.
