Professor André Gois teaches how to escape from an armbar. The opponent starts on mount and transitions to the s mount. He starts to go for the armbar and André immediately connects his hand to his bicep. When the opponent brings the leg over, André then also cups the back of the leg with his other hand. From this position, André explains some concepts on how the opponent can finish and how to prevent it. André now rocks to the side so he can hook the opponent’s leg with his own. This significantly reduces the opponent’s leverage. Lastly, he pushes the opponent’s knee off and immediately fridges and pushes himself over the leg to escape.
