Armbar Escape to Side Control (Fundamentals)

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to escape from the armbar submission. The opponent tries to go for the armbar and Lucas immediately grips his own hands together. He then slides one hand to his own bicep and the other hand slides under the opponent’s thigh. This prevents the opponent from isolating the arm. Lucas now rocks back and forth, until he is able to come up. Once he comes up, he blocks the opponent’s back with his knee. The arm is now slowly taken out. From here, Lucas reaches over the opponent to grip the collar and escape to the side control.
