Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to pass the closed guard by entering a lead knee and using a knee cut pass. With two grips on the chest of his opponent’s gi, Lucas stands in the closed guard with his hips back and enters a lead knee to begin opening the guard. Next, Lucas pulls the opponent’s gi on one side while driving his knee through the guard on the opposite side, leaving his other hand free to push the opponent’s knee to open the guard or to post on the mat if necessary. Lucas finishes the pass to side control by pulling the opponent’s bottom arm and applying the knee cut.
