Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to sweep the opponent using the butterfly guard, and shows how to get the heel hook if the opponent defends. Lucas has the butterfly guard and controls the back of the neck with one hand and controls the opposite side arm with his other hand. He pulls down on the neck and pushes the arm in to make the opponent shift the weight. Lucas now uses his butterfly hook to sweep the opponent over. If the opponent defends by posting out, Lucas raises his hips and slides his other knee over the opponent’s hamstring and locks his feet together. He now pushes the opponent forward, making sure he keeps his legs tight. From here, he is able to isolate the leg and finish with the heel hook.
