Butterfly Guard to Side Control Defense (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to defend from the opponent trying to pass while he has him in the butterfly guard. Lucas has the opponent in his butterfly guard framing on the shoulder and gripping the arm. The opponent surprises Lucas by jumping over to the side control. Lucas maintains control of the arm and immediately comes up on his elbow and reaches for the back. As the opponent drops his hips, Lucas bridges and takes the opponent to the other side. Depending on how the opponent reacts, Lucas can take the back or attack the arm.
