Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to set up the omoplata from the closed guard by isolating one arm. Lucas breaks the opponent’s posture by gripping the same side collar with one hand and sliding his other hand under the other arm to reach the neck. He pulls the opponent in to break the posture. The grip on the collar is now used to feed the collar to the other hand. Lucas slides the hand that was controlling the neck, under his own leg and grips that collar. From here, Lucas pushes the opponent and passes his leg over the shoulder to lock the omoplata. He uses the grip on the back of the collar to prevent the opponent from rolling. Lucas now finishes the omoplata submission.
