Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to defend the De La Riva and go to the knee cut pass and then finishes with a choke from the closed guard, after attempting the clock choke. Lucas grips the pants and the collar, he then steps back pulling the opponent up. He immediately turns the opponent to the side so he can go for the knee cut pass. The opponent tries to defend by blocking Lucas with a knee shield. Lucas continues the pass by applying all the pressure on his knee. Lucas’ hand now replaces his knee so he can start passing, but the opponent goes for the under hook to defend. In this scenario, Lucas tries to go for the clock choke but the opponent defends by sliding his head in. Lucas replaces the grip on the lapel with his other hand and then also grips the back of the collar. He starts pulling the opponent into his closed guard and finishes the choke from there.
