Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to take the opponent down when he attempts to sweep, but the opponent stands up. Lucas starts in the De La Riva, but in this scenario steps over Lucas’ leg to defend. Lucas pushes the opponent back and when they react, Lucas then pushes him to the other side. He immediately circles around his De La Riva hook and places it inside the same side leg. Lucas now pushes the opponent and sits up. Once standing, Lucas can take the opponent down with a leg trip or can also leg drag the opponent.
