Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to use a De La Riva sweep to get the mount when the opponent grips the collar. Lucas starts in the De La Riva and makes sure the opponent doesn’t grip the leg. In this scenario, the opponent uses his other hand to grip Lucas’ collar. Lucas uses his legs to push the opponent back. The inside foot is now placed on the knee as he turns his De La Riva knee in. Lucas now kicks the knee out and pulls on the sleeve. He sweeps the opponent landing on the mount position.
